The Disney Parks Blog announced that Walt Disney World will be celebrating Women’s History Month with “Celebrate HER Story”. Disney character heroines and talented female cast members will be celebrated throughout the month of March with dedicated and themed art, music, food and beverage offerings, stories, exhibits, merchandise, and more.

Here are the new food and beverage items that are offered this March celebrating female chefs, Imagineers, and characters:

Magic Kingdom

  • Madame Leota Cupcake – Inspired by Leota Toombs; Chocolate-cherry cake filled with black cherry-lime cream and topped with black buttercream frosting (Liberty Square Market) ($5.79)

  • “it’s a small world” Cupcake – Inspired by Mary Blair; Lemon funfetti cake filled with sprinkles and topped with blue raspberry buttercream and vanilla-lemon buttercream (Friar’s Nook) ($5.79)

  • Cinderella Castle Mosaic Cupcake – Inspired by Dorothea Redmond; Champagne-flavored cake filled with fresh raspberry champagne compote and topped with gold champagne buttercream, mosaic tile sprinkles, and a white chocolate Cinderella garnish (Outdoor Carts on Main Street U.S.A.) ($6.25)


Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort & Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

  • Chorizo Arepas – Cheese arepas topped with chorizo, red pepper and onion egg scramble, arugula, and sliced avocado ($9.49)

  • Mirabel Cupcake – Cinnamon cupcake filled with custard and topped with coconut buttercream, toasted coconut, and Mirabel-themed fondant garnishes ($5.79)

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Only

  • Luisa Push-Up Cake Pop – Layers of vanilla cake and tres leches pastry cream topped with a doughnut hole “boulder” and a Luisa-themed fondant garnish ($5.29)

  • Encanto Cholado – Crushed ice topped with sliced fresh fruit, sweetened condensed milk, and shredded coconut ($6.99)

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

  • Nona’s Homestyle Meatballs – Presented by Sous Chef Lori Tiritilli; Italian meatballs with Sunday gravy, basil pesto, and lemon ricotta made from scratch served with grilled focaccia crostini and grated pecorino cheese ($14)

  • Carne Frita con Tostones – Presented by Sous Chef Natalie Floyd; Crispy pork shoulder tostones topped with pickled onions and citrus aioli ($12)

Amorette’s Patisserie

  • “The Passion of My Life” – Presented by Pastry Chef Yoly Lazo Colon; Pineapple, mango, and toasted coconut mousse, coconut chiffon cake, white chocolate crisp pearls, and infused passion fruit glaçage ($8)

The Ganachery

  • Lady Tano Pop – A concept by Chocolatier Katie Dodge, presented by Chef Chocolatier Amanda Lauder; Plant-based coconut and blueberry swirled ganache topped with 65% dark chocolate ($7.50) (Vegan)

Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea at Disney Springs Landing Location

  • Female performers featured most nights at Disney Springs AdventHealth Waterside Stage including a female DJ leading family-friendly sing-a-long featuring songs by beloved and inspiring female characters on Friday and Saturday evenings

  • Featured female performers at Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival Garden Rocks Concert Series, including Skillzmatic, Melina León, CeCe Winans, Hello Sister, and Glass Ceiling

  • Two Epcot exhibits highlighting female trailblazers

    • Morocco Pavilion – Rally of the Gazelles (Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc), an immersive vignette highlighting Morocco’s all-female off-road race

    • American Adventure Pavilion – Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art, showcasing historical Native artifacts and contemporary works of American Indian art. Featured artists include fashion designer Loren Aragon (Acoma Pueblo), doll-maker Glenda McKay (Ingalik-Athabascan) and Juanita Growing Thunder (Assiniboine Sioux) from the Growing Thunder family of Montana

  • A “Women of Imagineering” trivia game in the Play Disney Parks App highlighting current and former female Disney Imagineers

  • Disney MobileMagic passes with new designs highlighting favorite female characters including Edna Mode, Mrs. Incredible, Minnie Mouse, and more

  • Specialty merchandise including new nuiMOs outfits celebrating female empowerment and more
