Disney Parks Blog is announcing new summer fun all day long and the first bit of news is here! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Lion King from June 10th to September 6th with new menu items, merchandise, returning characters, and more.

A new The Lion King 30th Anniversary merchandise collection will be available including an ear headband, fanny pack, Zazu shoulder plush, apparel for adults and kids, and more.

Special menu items will be available celebrating The Lion King from June 10th to September 9th. The Pumbaa popcorn bucket will also be available for the celebration, though if you can’t wait until June the Pumbaa popcorn bucket and Timon sipper are currently available at carts throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Timon and Rafiki will return to their character meet and greet at Rafiki’s Planet Watch for the celebration with meet times in the My Disney Experience app. Also at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, guests can learn to draw characters from The Lion King at the Animation Experience.
