New Encanto Show and Opening of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza at EPCOT - Summer 2024

Disney Parks Blog is announcing new summer fun all day long! The multi-year construction projects in the World Celebration neighborhood of EPCOT will be completed on June 10th with the opening of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza, a multi-use space with entertainment, seating, character meet and greets, and more. Additional, Disney Parks announced a new show coming to the space for the opening - ¡Celebración Encanto! Let’s get into all the details.
¡Celebración Encanto! will be a summer sing-along show featuring the songs and story of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto. The show will run from June 10th to September 6th at CommuniCore Plaza stage several times throughout the day with times to come. ¡Celebración Encanto! will feature two high-energy comedic hosts, Mirabel, Bruno, and a group of performers (per the audition notice for the show) inviting the audience to join them in a festive celebration.
Beginning on June 10th, the last construction walls in the center of the park will be coming down to reveal a fully transformed EPCOT. CommuniCore Hall will be opening on June 10th and will be a home for EPCOT festivals and other celebrations. The new space will be a cool indoor space available year-round to relax and recharge while being surrounded by “serene views and exciting experiences”. CommuniCore Hall will have a new character greeting location for Mickey & Friends. The area is completed with a mural of all things EPCOT “past and present” featuring Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Figment, and more and a Spaceship Earth-inspired geometric exterior design.
Additional relaxing green spaces will be coming to CommuniCore Plaza and Inspiration Gardens, as well as more food, beverages, and entertainment. We’ll be sure to update this post and our blog as more news arrives!
