Stitch 626 Day Food Guide at Walt Disney World

Stitch Blueberry Lemonade Mousse Cake is available for purchase at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Magic Kingdom. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is located in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom across from Tomorrowland Speedway and Mad Tea Party and is the home of the iconic Sonny Eclipse.

The Stitch Blueberry Lemonade Mousse Cake is blueberry mousse, lemon curd, vanilla cake, and mango glaze. The mousse cake costs $8.29 plus tax and comes decorated with white chocolate Stitch ears! It is eligible for a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, this is a good use of a snack credit to get the most value out of your credits.

My expectations for this dessert were somewhat low - it does look simple from the outside, and I thought it might be too similar to the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse at Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I was completely wrong, as the Stitch Blueberry Lemonade Mousse Cake was both interesting and delicious. The mango glaze on the outside had a great amount of shine- I could see myself reflected in this treat! The color matches the white chocolate Stitch ears perfectly and is reminiscent of Stitch and water. I didn't find the flavor of mango to be noticeable but I think there’s enough going on with this treat that it wasn’t missed.

Inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the layers of flavors with the blueberry mousse, lemon curd, and cake. The cake is a super-thin layer of (what I believe is) genoise and supports the bolder flavors while structurally holding the dome together. The blueberry mousse was a gorgeous purple hue, light and airy with a sweet blueberry flavor, contrasted by the tart lemon curd. The curd was the highlight of the dessert for me, with the ideal mix of tart and sweet. While the lemon curd was also light, the texture varied enough from the blueberry mousse to allow it to stand out in the dessert. As always, I can take it or leave it with white chocolate pieces, but the Stitch ears make for a great photo and make the dessert clearly Stitch-themed, so I enjoyed them for this treat.

The Stitch Blueberry Lemonade Mousse Dome was listed as only being available on June 26th. However, it is still listed on Cosmic Ray’s menu (as of June 30th) so it may still be available while supplies last.

Experiment 626 Cone was available for purchase at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Pineapple Lanai is located outside at the resort, to the left when you exit the lobby walking towards the pool and is the home of DOLE Whip at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

The Experiment 626 Cone is blue vanilla soft-serve with flavors of cotton candy topped with Stitch ear chocolate décor. The soft-serve cone costs $5.79 plus tax and comes decorated with white chocolate Stitch ears! It is not eligible for the Disney Dining Plan.

I was concerned the Experiment 626 Cone would have a strong artificial flavor of cotton candy but my worries were unfounded! The soft-serve treat was delicious and tasted like classic soft-serve with a strong vanilla flavor and a very slight flavor of cotton candy that was neither artificial-tasting or overpowering. The treat came with white chocolate Stitch ears, which were a different design than the Stitch Blueberry Lemonade Mousse Cake Stitch ears. Of course, no Stitch treat is complete without his signature color, and this soft-serve was Stitch blue!

The Experiment 626 Cone was offered in a cone or cup and I went with a cone in an attempt to avoid too much mess from melting. The cup came with a cone on top and the Stitch ears and was so cute! The Experiment 626 Cone was only available on June 26th. We regretted splitting one instead of buying two, but the line was extremely long with everyone wanting to celebrate Stitch, so we’ll just have to come back and get it again next year on 626 Day!
