REVIEW: Chicken Parmesan Sandwich at Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom has new food for the summer! Arriving in late June, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich at Pinocchio Village Haus at Magic Kingdom is new on the menu. Scroll down for all the details!
The Chicken Parmesan Sandwich is available for purchase at Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom. Pinocchio Village Haus is located in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom next to it’s a small world and across from Mickey’s PhilharMagic and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. There is outdoor and indoor seating on two levels at the restaurant.
The Chicken Parmesan Sandwich is chicken strips, marinara, and mozzarella baked in a roll. The sandwich costs $13.29 plus tax and is served with french fries. It is eligible for a Disney Dining Plan quick service meal credit. If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, this isn’t a great use of a quick service meal credit to get the most value out of your credits.
I was pleasantly surprised by this sandwich! While it’s nothing groundbreaking, I found it to be tasty and filling with a good amount of chicken. The chicken in the sandwich is Disney chicken strips - I was concerned about the sandwich being too dry with the breaded chicken tenders and roll but the roll wasn’t too bready or thick and the chicken strips added a nice crunch to the sandwich. The breading also held up well to the sauce. I also enjoyed the marinara sauce, which wasn’t too acidic or sweet, and I felt there was just the right amount of it. My one major complaint is that I wish the sandwich had more cheese, but overall I found it satisfying and a filling lunch.
The sandwich was served with french fries and I don’t feel like you can go wrong with Disney fries, but I’m a fan of this type of fries (and all fries) so I’m always glad to eat them. I ordered via mobile order on the My Disney Experience app to save time and waiting in the line and there was no alternative side choice, but I think if you ordered at the register you could modify to a different side. Other options would be breadsticks, tomato basil soup, or a side caesar salad.
The Chicken Parmesan Sandwich is relatively new on the menu in Magic Kingdom and doesn’t have an end date - if you’re looking for something filling or just love chicken parm, this might be the sandwich for you!
