Big and exciting news! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning to Walt Disney World this Holiday season! Running for 24 nights, the Christmas party at Magic Kingdom will take place on select nights from November 8th to December 22nd 2022 from 7pm to midnight.

Disney Parks Blog announced the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party during the Halfway to Halloween event on June 23rd. The Christmas party is returning after two years - last year Disney celebrated the holiday season with the Very Merriest After Hours. Guests are encouraged to enjoy event-exclusive entertainment, festive decor, rides and attractions - including a few with holiday overlays, delicious sweets and treats, cookies and hot cocoa, special Disney character appearances, photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and more.

Tickets went on sale on July 7th and are available to purchase online or over the phone. Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort had access to purchase tickets as early as June 30th. Ticket prices vary depending on the date and range from $149-$199. A $10 discount will be available for select dates for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders (APs) and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members.

Mickey’s Very Merriest Christmas Party runs from 7pm to midnight but ticket holders will be admitted to Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm on the date of their ticket. Date-specific event tickets don’t require a day theme park ticket or park pass reservations for Magic Kingdom.


Entertainment - Shows, Parades, & Characters

With the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party we also have the return of many fan-favorite shows and parades! This year’s Christmas party will include Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas dance party and show, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café dance party, Disney Junior Jingle Jam, characters in their holiday best, and more! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is back! Once Upon a Christmastime is making it’s long-awaited return at Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! The last year the parade ran down Main Street, U.S.A. was in 2019.

This year the beloved holiday parade will be running twice nightly during the Christmas party stepping off in Frontierland at 8:30pm and 11pm. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will feature dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers, Disney characters, and even a special appearance by Santa Claus and his flying reindeer.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

Minnie Mouse will be hosting the Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks this year at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The fireworks display features castle projections, fireworks, and seasonal carols including Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The fireworks will start at 10pm nightly during the party.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration

This year also marks the return of Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration. Mickey and his pals will take to the Cinderella Castle Forecourt stage at Magic Kingdom with dance performances, a medley of holiday songs, and snow! There will be four performances of Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration during the Christmas party at 7:40pm, 9:25pm, 10:35pm, and 11:55pm.

A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas

Join Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski, and Stitch at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland for a Christmas party! This dance party and musical revue is hosted by Haley Comet with modern twists on classic holiday songs.

Club Tinsel at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café

Club Tinsel will be back again this year for an intergalactic dance party at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland!

Disney Junior Jingle Jam

Check out the Disney Junior Jingle Jam at Storybook Circus! This dance party features favorites from Disney Junior shows including Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and The Lion Guard and is perfect for younger party guests.

Disney Characters

Disney characters will be around Magic Kingdom for meet and greets and photo opportunities in their holiday best. In the past, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has also seen some exclusive and rare character outfits - we will be sure to update here with more information once it becomes available!

Many attractions will be open during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! A few will even have Holiday-themed event overlays, including Tomorrowland Speedway, Monsters, Inc. Complimentary cookies and hot cocoa will be throughout the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Allergy-friendly options are also available- be sure to ask a cast member if that is a requirement in your family.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party is a separately priced add-on to the Christmas party ticket that includes a buffet of holiday treats and exclusive viewing areas for the fireworks.

The buffet will feature holiday-themed desserts, cheeses, fresh fruit, and beverages including hot chocolate, signature lemonades, coffee, tea, and a glass of Cava sparkling wine or Martinelli’s non-alcoholic cider.

Two ticket options are available - one for seated fireworks viewing at Tomorrowland Terrace and one for standing fireworks viewing at Plaza Garden. Seated viewing tickets are $114 per adult and $69 per child including tax. Standing viewing tickets are $99 per adult and $59 per child including tax. Check-in is at the entrance of Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant in Tomorrowland one hour prior to the fireworks for seated viewing tickets and 1.5 hours prior to fireworks for standing viewing tickets.


Merchandise

Special Mickey’s Very Merry merchandise as well as holiday-themed merchandise and ornaments will be available at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. Select products will also be available on shopDisney.com. Disney released a merchandise preview as part of Halfway to the Holidays this year- check it out here! We will update this post with more specifics once they become available.

Additionally, to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, all party guests will receive a commemorative keepsake to take home!

Disney PhotoPass will have many festive photo opportunities available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, including:
