Happy Life Day!
Happy Life Day! Life Day is a Star Wars holiday celebration and long-standing Wookiee tradition celebrating family, joy, and harmony.
Life Day was traditionally celebrated at the Tree of Life on Kashyyyk but is now celebrated in Star Wars by people across the galaxy. Celebrations include singing, festive decor, unique food and drink, twinkling lights, music, and Life Day activities. Everyone gathers to sing songs and celebrate family, freedom, harmony, peace, and their love for one another, no matter how different they appear.
Life Day debuted in 1978’s Star Wars Holiday Special and is celebrated on November 17th. The holiday has been mentioned over the years in various games and stories including The Mandalorian, the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, the junior novel Join the Resistance: Attack on Starkiller Base, and various games including Star Wars Galaxies, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
