Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser - Rooms and Amenities
What does a hotel room look like in space? You’ll be able to find out by staying on the Halcyon, a Corellian MPO-1400 Star Cruiser operated by Chandrila Star Lines. The Halcyon is the name of the ship that you’ll stay on if you book a two-night stay on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. Disney describes the rooms as having an atmosphere of “elegance, style, comfort, and exclusivity”.
Room options include cabins or suites and every room has at least one window with a view of space. There are 100 cabins and suites on the Halcyon, so each voyage will have only 100 to 500 passengers. Most of the available rooms are cabins- out of the 100 rooms, it appears there are four suites from the ship’s blueprints.

Room Amenities
All rooms on the Halcyon have at least one window where you’ll be able to look out into space and watch ships fly by! However, Nerdist pointed out that if you need complete darkness to sleep, each window feature has a button that will bring down blinds to cover the window at night.
All rooms have a TV with entertainment from your home planet piped in. Additionally, Disney has said the TV will be interactive so I expect it will be possible to log in to Disney+ and watch Star Wars movies from your Star Wars hotel room!
In early reviews, a few outlets noted that the rooms do feel similar to the cabins on a cruise ship, and are quite small. Disney Imagineering mentioned in a panel that the rooms were intentionally designed that way, so they would feel like a hotel room in space rather than a Star Wars-themed hotel room. IGN said the rooms feel, “tight and compact, with little in the way of free space”, but most articles also pointed out that you’re unlikely to be spending much time in your room with the many other things to do on the Halcyon.
Additionally, despite sleeping in one until I graduated high school, I personally was a little put-off by the bunk beds. Though we see bunk beds often as the sleeping arrangement on Star Wars ships- the Ghost in Star Wars: Rebels and the sleeping pods for the clones during the Prequel era come to mind- I felt sleeping in a bunk bed would be uncomfortable as an adult. However, a few review outlets initially thought the same but found that the bunk beds are twin size beds designed to comfortably fit adults and children. According to Gamespot, Disney developed a thinner mattress specifically for the space beds to be comfortable without being too thick. SYFY also enjoyed the bunk beds, saying, “It feels like snoozing in the space version of a tour bus or train compartment, only without any concern of motion sickness, making you want to curl up with a lil' stuffed Chewbacca and awake to even more galactic adventures.”
Halcyon Amenities
I doubt it will come as much of a surprise but there’s no swimming pool on the Halcyon. I’ve never seen anyone swim leisurely in Star Wars, plus there are so many activities to do during the two-night stay- rather than relaxing by the pool, you’ll be able to hang out at the Sublight Lounge and play holo-Sabacc.
Additionally, because the entire ship is enclosed with space windows, there is a “Climate Simulator” built into the Halcyon if you need fresh air or feel claustrophobic. The Climate Simulator will replicate the climate of the planet you’ll be visiting on your excursion- in this case, Batuu (aka Florida)- and will be a garden courtyard connected to the Halcyon.
