Roundup Rodeo BBQ Opening in 2022 at Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney Parks Blog has announced that the much-awaited Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant will be opening this year! Initially announced back in 2019, the Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be a new family-friendly table service restaurant in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Food at the Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be- you guessed it!- barbecue. The immersive restaurant puts you in the middle of a new play area Andy set up to create a “one-of-a-kind-rodeo”. Disney describes the new restaurant, saying,
“Using three cardboard boxes cut and taped together, Andy has created a new rodeo arena using some of his favorite toys, games, and play sets. And while some pieces are definitely western-themed, what makes this rodeo special is the broad assortment of toys that have been brought together to create a fun, colorful mashup-atmosphere that only a child could create.”
Within the two dining spaces there will be western town playsets, train station playsets, and toy and game pieces featuring many Disney Pixar characters including Jessie, Trixie, and Bo Peep and her sheep.
We don’t know yet when the Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open in 2022- we will update this post with more information!
Additionally, Disney Parks Blog announced the opening of Jessie’s Trading Post Playset, which they describe as a new experience “full of the coolest toys and finest souvenirs handpicked by the rootinest, tootinest cowgirl”. I’m presuming this will be a new dedicated gift shop for Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. At this time, there are only souvenir stands in Toy Story Land- there is a gift shop in the exit of Toy Story Mania but it’s quite small and difficult to access without going on the ride. We will update here when we have more information!
