EPCOT International Festival of the Arts 2024 Guide

It’s almost 2024! EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts is returning to Walt Disney World and we have all the details.

The International Festival of the Arts celebrates the creation of art and cuisine and includes Food Studios, Visual Arts and Galleries, a Figment-themed scavenger hunt, exclusive merchandise featuring Figment, Artful Photo Ops, and the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series. Additionally, the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine will return, highlighting five sweet and savory offerings at the Festival of the Arts.

This year, Festival of the Arts will run from January 12th to February 19th. Admission is included with park tickets and a park pass reservation (for select guests) to EPCOT. This post will be updated as more information becomes available about the 2024 Festival of the Arts.


Food Studios and Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine

No EPCOT festival is complete without food booths! With 16 Food Studios plus a few additional exclusive offerings, new food booths, returning favorites, and artful food and drink are available throughout the World Showcase. For a full list of all the food booths at Epcot International Festival of the Arts, check out our blog post with menus and photos for every Food Studio - we will update this post with prices and more once the festival starts!

The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is back! First you’ll need to pick up a Festival Passport. Then visit each Food Studio location and purchase a color-themed sweet or savory treat for a stamp in your passport. Once you receive all five stamps, present your passport to receive a free specialty Artist Palette Cookie! The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine can be completed in one day or throughout the whole festival. You can also get five of the same item or one of each offering- or any variation on the offerings, as long as you get five stamps on your passport. Visual Arts

Visual Arts are one of the main focuses of Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts! From Artists Galleries to Chalk Art, Animation Academy to a Paint-by-Numbers Mural, visual arts will be all over Epcot for the festival. Over 100 artists will be showcasing their work for viewing and purchase throughout the park as part of the festival- both Disney artists and visiting artists. There will be Artist Galleries around the park including (subject to change):

If you enjoy watching visual artists at work, check out Visual Art in Performance where you can see artists speed-paint Disney Characters in minutes throughout the World Showcase. Or, if you also want to learn how to draw a Disney character, the Animation Academy will be back at the America Gardens Theater at the America Pavilion daily at 12:30pm and 1:30pm. Featured artists at the Animation Academy include Will Gay, Lon Smart, Matthew Dewater, Brian Blackmore, Sarah Schmidt, David Holbrook, Michael Montgomery, Alex Maher, Andy Quiles, Hannah Loflin, Luke Consolo, and Justin Dring.

Chalk Art Galleries

Watch chalk artists at work along the bridge to World Showcase Plaza.

Kids Chalk Art

Kids can create their own chalk art along the bridge to World Showcase Plaza from 11am to 5pm daily.

Chalk Full of Characters

Chalk drawings of Disney characters will be around World Showcases for guests to find. We will update here with a full list of chalk character locations once they are available.

Expression Section: A Paint by Numbers Mural

The Expression Section Paint by Numbers mural will be back again this year at the festival! Guests can choose a paint color and paint a few squares. The mural is available in the World Nature area from 11am to 5pm daily, subject to change or cancellation due to weather.

Figment’s Brush with the Masters
Scavenger Hunt

Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt is back at the festival. Search for Figment hiding in paintings throughout EPCOT to get a prize!

To participate, purchase a map for $9.99 from Port of Entry, Creations Shop, or World Traveler. Venture around EPCOT and find Figment in paintings- once you find him, use the stickers provided with your map to mark the Figment you found. When you complete your map, bring it to Disney Traders, Creations Shop, or World Traveler to redeem it for a prize! We will update this post once we know what the prize will be this year.

The scavenger hunt map will be valid through February 19th. Keep in mind that if you redeem towards the end of the festival they may run out of prizes.

Artful Photo Ops

Step into renowned paintings for photo opportunities! Photos can be purchased through Disney PhotoPass photographers will be on-hand to take photos or you can use your own camera.

    • Mona Lisa by Leonard da Vinci (Between the Italy and Germany Pavilion)

    • The Scream by Edvard Munch (Between the Italy and Germany Pavilion)

    • An Homage to Frida Kahlo (Mexico Pavilion)

There will also be limited-time PhotoPass Magic Shots around EPCOT for the festival - we will update here with more information once it’s available.

DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series

The DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series is back this year for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is headlined by Broadway stars performing songs from award-winning Disney stage productions.

This popular concert series runs from January 12th to February 19th at the America Gardens Theatre in the America Pavilion at Epcot. There will be three shows a night at 5:30PM, 6:45PM, and 8PM. Be sure to consult the My Disney Experience app for the latest information as times are subject to change. The Disney on Broadway Concert Series does have limited seating for performances so be sure to show up early for the performance you’re hoping to see! There are also Disney on Broadway Dining Packages available, which guarantees a seat to a performance that evening.

Music (World Showcase Plaza)

Musicians will be playing music at World Showcase Plaza - for showtimes, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app.

Featured musicians include:

  • Nicholas Marks on guitar

  • Victor Espinola on harp

  • Don Black on saxophone

  • Dominic Gaudious on didgeridoo

Art Defying Gravity (World Showcase Plaza)

Art Defying Gravity is a show at World Showcase Plaza displaying “strength, grace, acrobatics, and agility”. The show is available Saturday through Wednesday at 11am, 11:55am, 1:50pm, and 2:45pm. Be sure to check showtimes in the My Disney Experience app for any changes.

Art in Performance (World Showcase Plaza)

Artists will be painting Disney characters in minutes on the stage at World Showcase Plaza at the festival. The show is available Thursday through Sunday as well as Monday, January 15th and Monday, February 19th at 1pm and 4pm. Be sure to check showtimes in the My Disney Experience app for any changes.

Featured artists include:

  • Trevor Carlton - January 12th to 15th, January 18th to 21st, January 25th to 28th

  • Stephen Fishwick - February 1st to 4th, February 8th to 11th, February 15th to 19th

Spaceship Earth Nighttime Shows

Spaceship Earth has three rotating nighttime shows with two returning exclusively for EPCOT Festival of the Arts. The two shows are “One Little Spark” featuring Figment and “Rainbow Connection” featuring The Muppets and rotate on Spaceship Earth at night during the festival.


Festival Merchandise

This year’s exclusive festival merchandise will feature Figment from Journey Into Imagination! The collection will include a Spirit Jersey and apparel, accessories, Figment paintbrush cup and drink ware, home decor, trading pins, a limited edition MagicBand+, Figment plush, reusable Figment shopping bag, Pandora charm, and more

All items will be subject to availability and may sell out before the festival is over. A small amount of festival merchandise is available on shopDisney.com - check out our merchandise roundup post.

Additionally, a festival mini gift card with a unique festival design will be available at Port of Entry, Creations Shop, World Traveler at International Gateway, and Gateway Gifts. The mini gift card can be used at all locations where Disney Gift Cards are accepted and can be loaded up with as little as $15.
