Earth Day Celebration at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and More
Earth Day is coming up soon! Earth Day is on April 22nd and Disney is celebrating all April long with more events for Earth Week from April 21st to April 28th and Earth Day. The Earth Month festivities are located primarily at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with food, special character meet and greets, Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots, and more. Additionally, there will be new National Geographic and Disneynature movies and series released on Disney+ and Hulu on Earth Day. We will be sure to update this post as more information becomes available!
Earth Day Celebration Activities at Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
Special Earth Month characters to learn to draw at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station (April 1st to April 30th)
Featured characters may include Simba (The Lion King), Dumbo (Dumbo), Terk (Tarzan), Crush or Bruce (Finding Nemo), Tigger (Winnie the Pooh), or Dumbo (Dumbo)
A limited-time Wilderness Explorer activity with an Earth Day Nature badge as a reward (April 21st to April 28th)
Learn how to connect with nature near you to receive the limited-edition Nature Badge
Special Earth Week Character Meets (Will be updated when characters are confirmed) (April 21st to April 28th)
A National Geographic Photo Frame inspired by the upcoming Secrets of the Octopus docuseries arriving on Disney+ and Hulu on April 22nd (Located at Main Entrance Plaza, outside the park gates)

Disney Earth Day on Disney+ and Hulu
Disney will be celebrating Earth Day with new content on Disney+ and Hulu! Three Earth Day films and series will premiere on April 22nd including:

Disney Planet Possible
This Earth Month, National Geographic and Disney have a new Disney Planet Possible initiative, ourHOME, spotlighting efforts internally and externally to Protect, Restore, and Celebrate ourHOME. For each area of focus, Disney Planet Possible has suggestions of how to join in this Earth Day. For more information, check out the Disney Planet Possible website.
Planet Possible is centered around three initiatives - conservation, sustainability, and storytelling. Disney has made an over $120 million investment since 1995 in the Disney Conservation Fund, helping to support community members working in conservation, protecting more than 1000 species through biodiversity initiatives, and providing nature experiences to kids around the world. Disney is also continuing their work on the previously announced 2030 Environmental Goals to “achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions for direct operations”, reduce waste, develop more environmentally-friendly packaging and products, and build in more sustainable ways.
